2025 was a year full of exciting developments and positive changes for CSZ. Thanks to our employees, partners, and customers, we were able to grow successfully – we would like to express our sincere thanks for your trust and support. This year, our group of companies presented itself in a new corporate design for the first time: six independent companies, each with its own focus and color. A symbol of the diversity of our companies, our expertise, innovative strength, and the people behind CSZ.

Christmas is a time to pause, show gratitude, and bring joy to others. At CSZ, we want to focus on compassion and solidarity this year. Instead of giving gifts, we have decided to support charitable organizations. Our employees were able to suggest organizations, and three were selected:

• Freundeskreis für Suchtkrankenhilfe e. V.– Youth, drug, and addiction counseling
• Seehundstation Friedrichskoog – Rescue and rehabilitation of seals
• Frauen helfen Frauen Hamburg e. V.– Support for women in emergency situations, e.g., violence or poverty

These initiatives are doing valuable work for people and animals in need with a great deal of passion. Many thanks to our employees for casting their votes and to everyone who works hard every day to make the world a better place.

Kaiserslautern City Hall – an 84-meter-high skyscraper from the 1960s and an important work by architect Roland Ostertag – is a listed symbol of urban reconstruction and modern administration. Comprehensive renovation is essential to restore this building to its original splendor while meeting the requirements of a sustainable administration.

The first step toward renovation
CSZ has taken the crucial first step with its current inventory analysis: the systematic recording, evaluation, and documentation of the entire structural and technical substance. This step is much more than a mandatory task—it is the cornerstone for every further planning and renovation decision.

All areas examined – all potential identified
The analysis covers all key specialist disciplines:

• Building Services: Evaluation of outdated plant technology and derivation of sustainable modernization concepts.
• Fire protection: Examination of safety-relevant structures in a 26-story high-rise building in accordance with current requirements.
• Building physics & diagnostics: Examination of facades, concrete components, and energy-related weak points.
• Structural engineering: Derivation of potential for modern working environments and efficient administrative structures.

Early detection, sustainable planning
In a listed high-rise building in particular, it is crucial to take stock of the situation in order to identify opportunities, risks, and dependencies at an early stage. Only on the basis of reliable data can viable concepts for sustainability, energy efficiency, and long-term value retention be developed.

This year, our Christmas party took us to a special venue: the Comedy Hall in Darmstadt – an experience that uniquely combines culture, cuisine, and shared laughter. Around 100 colleagues from Darmstadt, Frankfurt, Munich, and Münster enjoyed an evening full of cheerfulness, good conversation, and unforgettable moments.

The program was a special mix: humorous puppet shows in the Hessian dialect, accompanied by delicious food and drinks, served at cozy tables scattered throughout the room. This combination immediately created a relaxed and cheerful atmosphere – in keeping with the Comedy Hall’s motto: “Fresh, cheeky, cheerful, free.”

A big thank you to everyone who made the evening possible – from the company management to the organizers to all the participants.

Moments like these show what CSZ stands for: team spirit and appreciative encounters across all locations and positions. A wonderful end to the year – full of laughter, good cheer, and a sense of community.

CSZ Darmstadt is colorful and diverse—around 20 of our colleagues come from different countries. Almost 15% of our workforce represent international flags – which means exciting cultures, inspiring stories, and, of course, lots of culinary highlights!

To celebrate this diversity together, we launched International Food & Drinks Day. In November we embarked on a culinary world tour: from the Middle East to Africa and Europe to Asia, colleagues brought typical dishes from their home countries—including Jordan, Syria, Iran, Turkey, Morocco, France, Poland, Bulgaria, and the Philippines.

The day provided the perfect opportunity for cultural exchange, new taste experiences, and team building. Colleagues sampled exotic flavors, discovered new spices, and found inspiration in a relaxed atmosphere—a lunch full of fun, discoveries, and encounters that showed how enriching shared experiences can be.

We are grateful for this wonderful diversity that enriches our everyday work – and we are already looking forward to the next culinary world tour at CSZ!

Building culture connects people – and that was precisely the focus of the annual meeting of the Middle Rhine Association of Architects and Engineers (MAIV) in Darmstadt. For over 150 years, the association has been bringing together people who are passionate about designing, planning, and building. Building and construction site tours, professional meetings, trips, and joint celebrations bring the network to life and make it tangible.

CSZ is actively involved in this lively exchange: Mr. Cornelius, managing partner of the CSZ Group, has been volunteering for years and is currently vice-chairman of MAIV Darmstadt. As a new member, Mr. Pister, CSZ Structural Managing Engineer, also presented current projects in the opening speech at the annual closing event at the Achzehn98 Restaurant & BeachClub. It was a perfect opportunity to combine professional impressions with personal encounters.

CSZ is delighted to be part of this inspiring network and to continue spreading enthusiasm for building culture together with MAIV Darmstadt.
