CSZ regulars’ table: networking, learning, experiencing practice

On Thursday, August 21, the first CSZ regulars’ table kicked off with an exciting topic: load transfer in Sofistik. The event was initiated by the management. Matthias Niebling, Managing Engineer, and Miriam Schuster, Project Manager Structural Design, took responsibility and organized the kick-off.

Around 20 engineers from various locations—on site in Darmstadt and online from Germany and Canada—took the opportunity to gain technical insights and network directly with each other. Matthias Niebling presented a practical concept for load transfer in Sofistik that makes everyday engineering work easier:

  • Automated procedure based on FE ceiling calculations
  • Transfer of loads to foundation components
  • Additional benefits for wall, column, and beam design
  • Verifiable documentation of results

Afterwards, the terrace of the Darmstadt office provided the perfect setting for a relaxed get-together – the ideal place to round off the evening with personal conversations and a relaxed atmosphere. But the CSZ regulars’ table is more than just professional input: it thrives on personal exchange, sharing experiences, and learning together across locations and disciplines. Following this successful start, the regulars’ table will take place regularly every 2 to 4 weeks in the future.

Special thanks go to the management, who provided cool drinks and snacks – perfect for rounding off the first evening in good company.
Practical benefits: Less effort, more verifiability – exactly what engineers need in their everyday work.

CSZ Green Engineering -Part 3 – Rethinking existing buildings & infrastructure

Existing buildings are key levers for greater sustainability. At CSZ Green Engineering, we focus on value-preserving refurbishment concepts that save CO₂, increase energy efficiency and integrate social and economic aspects.

Because sustainable development does not end at the edge of the building: we think ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) holistically – from infrastructure and mobility to digital solutions for resilient neighborhoods.

What can you expect in video 3?

How we make existing buildings fit for the future through intelligent refurbishment
Why sustainable construction is more than just the building – and how we incorporate infrastructure and digital networking
The innovative concepts we use to develop sustainable neighborhoods.

It’s worth taking a look – practical, solution-oriented and with exciting ideas for the sustainable urban planning of the future.

Welcome to the CSZ team, dear new trainees!

On August 1, 2025 we warmly welcomed our new trainees at our locations in Hamburg and Darmstadt.

We are delighted to welcome the following dedicated young talents to the CSZ team:

  • Maje Wurch – Trainee draftswoman, CSZ Hamburg
  • Justin Billmann – Trainee draftsman, CSZ Darmstadt
  • Tammo Leiß – Trainee draftsman, CSZ Darmstadt

The first day was all about getting to know each other: after a warm welcome from our team, our new colleagues explored their future work areas during an exciting tour of the company, gained their first impressions of the practical side of things and were able to put their questions directly to experienced employees. They were supported by our trainers Bettina Hertel-Uhrhan and Steffen Huber (both Darmstadt) and Miriam Ungermann-Voß (Hamburg). They not only accompanied the trainees on their first day, but also guided them through a varied Welcome Week and thus created the basis for a successful start to an exciting and instructive time at CSZ – a time in which team spirit, professional development and personal growth take center stage.

Dear Maje, Tammo and Justin – we are delighted to be able to accompany you on your journey. It’s great that you are part of our team. Welcome to CSZ!

Summer party at CSZ Munich – looking back on a strong first year

The Munich branch of CSZ Ingenieurconsult GmbH & Co. KG has only been in existence for just under a year – and yet there are already many reasons to celebrate. Together with the dedicated team, the first summer party took place on the Tollwood grounds in the Olympiapark, just a few minutes away from the office at Saarstraße 7. In pleasant summer weather, the colleagues enjoyed a relaxed evening and reviewed the successes to date.

Since its foundation, the Munich branch has not only built up a strong team, but has also won exciting projects in the region. Particularly noteworthy are the Münchner Wohnen project to build 237 apartments for trainees and “young living” as well as the expansion and renovation of the volunteer fire department in Unterschleißheim.

CSZ is delighted with the positive development at the Munich site. A big thank you to everyone who made this successful start possible – let’s keep building the future together!

Building the future: CSZ is committed to engineering training

Well-trained civil engineers form the basis of successful project work. This is why CSZ has actively supported university teaching for many years and specifically promotes the next generation of engineers.

Stefan Sabukosek, Managing Director of CSZ Ingenieurconsult GmbH & Co. KG in Munich, has been a lecturer at Landshut University of Applied Sciences for four years. During this time, he has accompanied over 100 students on their way into professional life with practical teaching content on structural design, construction methods and structural details. Recently, the students in the second semester of the Civil Engineering course at Landshut University of Applied Sciences passed their exams in Building Construction 2 – a significant milestone in their studies and an important step towards practical experience.

We wish all participants every success – and would like to thank Stefan Sabukosek for his dedicated work!
